Oasis reported tranny work, help me diagnose why!

Looking at a nice, clean 2008 F250 Lariat on Wednesday...In the mean time I had the dealership run an oasis report on it and here's what I found

Milage: 55,055
Condition Description: Does Not Operate Properly

Part Desription:

GASKET TRANSMISSION
PLT ASY-CLUTCH IN SPL
PLATE-REAR CLUTCH DR
SOL ASY-TRANS DIR EL
SCREEN ASY-OIL PAN
GSKT CONTROL VALVE
PLT ASY-CLUTCH IN SPL
PLATE-REAR CLUTCH DR
OIL SEAL FRT OIL PUM

Can anyone speculate as to what may have happened to this transmission? I recognize all the parts but I'm unfamiliar as to whether these are common point of failure, if the transmission has likely been abused or if I need to be concerned with it as long as the transmission functions properly now.

Thanks!

Bueller? Bueller?

Haha, at this point the only things I can think of that would cause such early failure would be using the wrong ATF, having it tuned pretty hot on an easy shifting trans tune or just having a lemon tranny.

Any input would still be appreciated...going to look at this thing thursday it looks like.

Maybe the reverse ring snapped? I know the shift kit that transgo makes is to fix this issue. Im not sure what else it could be. It wasnt a complete overhaul.

Well, I went and looked at the truck and it runs great, looks great, and shifts awesome. Pretty safe to say the trans is in good health.

While on the topic, are there any worthwhile mods to do to help these transmissions out without having to pull and disassemble? I remember reading about some sort of solenoid but I dont know any specifics.
