6spd manual snap

Howdy ya'll, just a quick question for those of you with a manual trans. Have any of you had the actual in cab shift lever break at the weld where the lever bolts to the top of the trans? Just putting the feelers out to see if it was a freak break or a common issue. Thanks

Yup, I remember a thread about it. If I can find it I'll post a link.
Not a common problem, guy was jamming gears pretty hard.
