Tranny problem

2008 F-250 6.4 the tranny light came on last night i noticed when taking off a loss of power it just felt like it was bogging down a lil bit once i got going there was no signs what so ever this morning i noticed the same thing on the way in to work but with it being light outside i could see it was blowing a ton of black smoke this truck has never really blown smoke also the turbo dosent seem to be building as much boost taking off ANY IDEAS

you need to get a scanner and pull the codes..

sounds like an egr to me thats sticking and it probably went into limp mode.

Black smoke, lack of power. Sounds like a DPF prob.
