Engine revs
Hey guys,
I have an '08 F350 job1 with 56k miles on it. I have started to notice that it seems to rev realy high when accelerating (sometimes) from a coast. It is not like what some others have mentioned where it slams back into to gear just revs real high for a moment then smoothly goes back to normal. In fact I doubt I would have even noticed it except for the sound of the moto reving. I actually think it has been doing it for a few weeks now (again might not even notice it if the radio were up loud) but I believe it is getting worse. Anybody got any ideas what this might be. Thanks, Steve |

My 08 truck is doing the same thing after i change the EGR valve tranny was fine then went to test drive to check for coolent leaks and I noticed when in rev. the truck will shutter and then when in Drive it shifts ok till going from 4 to 5th and 6th. I have been reading up on this could it be trash in the shifting sinoloid???? it too has 53k on it now....

My truck is a 09 with 58k miles on it, and it too was doing the same thing. Today it was slipping out of gear when i came to a stop, and would NOT engage back in gear despite moving the gear selector back and forth from park to drive. I'm gonna start a new thread, it's not drivable at all in traffic!
