Transmission fluid temperature sensor

Posted this on the general discussion yesterday, but figured I would post it here to help out...Trans was throwing these two codes; p0710 and p0713. Both are transmission fluid sensor faults. I could drive, but it was making a loud noise like a fan, shifting hard, and not going into overdrive.

Called the closest dealership, which was open until 5:00 Saturday, and told them what was going on. Limped it to a buddies house (was still 2 hours from home), and changed out the trans temp sensor by dropping the trans pan, and it fixed my problem. They had several in stock, because they said it happens quite often. Has anyone had this happen before???

It's happening to me right now. I ran through the Ford Pin Point Test and all of the circuits test good, and the TFT tests good. Mine only fails when I'm at highway speed pulling my 12k lb 5th wheel camper. How much was the sensor?

$80 plus the cost of fluid (9 quarts).
