****Reverse problem****

I just bought an 08 superduty. When I shift it to reverse it takes about 5 seconds for it to actually go in to gear. Is this normal on some trucks or is there somethin wrong?

Dealer told me this was normal on my 07

Now it wont even go in to reverse. AND, it wont shift out of 2cd gear when driving....what the heck!?!?!?!?

My truck is doing the exact same thing, it now has starting shuttering in reverse also. I had it to the dealer and he thinks the reverse clutch needs to be replaced. Its going to the dealer tomorrow for the teardown. It only has 33k miles..

yeah mine shutters in reverse as well. but i dont konw why it wont shift out of 2cd. and no, no warranty left

Did you buy that salvaged truck? Have you checked for codes?

Yeah, i bought it. but the title is comin back clean and clear. but the warranty is voided. When the dealer typed in the vin it said "recycled"
