Stock navi unit and the audiophile system question?

Hey ive got the upgraded stereo in my truck I think its called the audiophile system. But I want to go to a navi unit/ dvd player. Does the factory ford nav unit play dvd's? If it doesnt what is one that I can just plug right in and it will still work with my stock sub. Also what kind of stock unit do I need to be looking for on ebay to work with my truck. Thanks yall and post pics if ya got em.

The factory Nav unit does not play DVD's.

i have a 09 and it plays dvds when the vehicle is in park

The 08 made by Pioneer will not play DVD's The newer 09 made by Sony is a different animal and will play DVD's and a lot more....

for the 09 they make whats called a FORD LOCKPICK which will allow your "passenger only" to watch DVD's while in motion, driver is not allowed to watch while driving. hehe

If I ever get my 09 nav unit to work I will be selling my 08 nav unit.

i was thinking of selling my unit that will plug right in, otherwise you have to find a nav unit out of the exact same optioned truck, otherwise you have to send it to chicago autosound they can reprogram a compatable deck for your truck, they charge about $100 including reurn shipping. If you get a line on a deck you can call them with your vin and the exact model number off the factory nav and they will tell you if it is compatable.

When I got my deck it was out of a similar truck but the steering wheel controls, the sub and the aux in wouldn't work, they programmed it and now perfect!
