You could try to use some small magnets. Just super glue one in the each of the top two corners. I think that would be much cleaner than the velcro and it wouldn't make the "cccrriiippp" sound when you pull it down.

I am know to the whole posting on forums concept- so forgive me if I am in the wrong location here, but can you put a PA system on that CB radio to talk to people outside the vehicle, almost like cops do?

I mounted mine right under the center cupholders, that way I can leave the cupholders closed and I can still use them if needed, however, I have a limited view of the screen. When you take it out, it also leaves no marks,the carpet hides the screw holes. I postedsome pics here
