Bench seat Captain's Chair Conversion

Recently there have been some center consoles out of Captain's Chairs equipped trucks for sale on the net. Rumor has it, at least on some of the "lessor" forums, if you have the bench seat option, you can remove the center front seat, install a center console, add armrests in the holes where the seatback was, and now you have Captain's chairs.

I ordered the bench seat in my truck, but I only occasionally use it for three passengers, and having the Captains chairs and console would give me some badly needed extra storage space.

Any experience out there, and would this work (on an '08 model?)

As far as I know, yes you can switch it out, but you don't need armrests for your seats. 08s don't have arm rests.

I changed my 08 from 80/20/80 (bench) to console and cap chairs. Looks tha same as a truck ordered with captains chairs. I had to plug a bolt hole or two in the floor, but otherwise it was cake. Bought my console on ebay for ~200 if I remember correctly, make sure you get the brackets. The console is huge inside without partitions or anything, so it is a challenge to keep it organized.

Has anyone added captains chairs and a console to the back seat like the Harley's and King Ranch's have as rare option?

I did a conversion for a buddy of mine in an older truck, it was a harley we had to buy a special bracket for the rear, I'm not too sure about on the 08's but heres a pic of the bracket we had to install.

Your asking for a lot bud. I'm not sure I've never seen one done on a 08 or anything like that. If you find any pics please post them up I'm intrested in it...
