All,
Here is the latest.
I've decided Im going to build 10 of these units. Doing this Will allow me to spend less time per unit and less materials wasted overall. Also, Ill be able to distribute my time better too (since I have a different job). I know I posted this some time ago. I was hoping I could get a different company to build the units. But Several things are getting in my way. the biggest Is... I dont need 10,000 units and dont want to $$ hundreds/thousands $$ among other things. So, within the next few weeks I hope to complete my build of 10. I expect it to take several days... But which days? are the question. So all this being said. The bottom line is $$$ So 10 units. Divided into all the materials & time This will be the Base cost. Once Im done Ill post Figures.
The shape and door configuration will be the same as my posted pics
the only thing left from their is what Color... I've asked many of my friends They have all said "If it were Black I think it wouldn't matter" Since the under seat Thingy was black and the seat frame is black. so my plan is to cover them in black. I may keep 3-5 aside
for those of you who may want some other color. feel free to contact me. If its a generic question Please post it here... (So other may benefit from the Q&A) Otherwise PM me.
Its also my opinion that when you build something one at a time it will cost more than say 10 and the same holds true for 10 Vs 100 and so on... I don't say this to frighten anyone but just so that when the first 10 units are gone and in the future I would hope I could build them better and cheaper.

I assume they will fit the 05-07 body style as well? I would be interested, considering the price is affordable. I really like your work and the idea is great.

Keep us posted, I'm in the Orlando area, and as long as the price isn't cost prohibitive, I'm in. P.M. me when you get close. Thanks, Nick

all. here is the current status.
I have since decided to build these using thermoforming.
this has brought up a lot additional challenges in building this darn box.
so not only am i building this box. but, now I have to build this machine.
I have aquired most of the parts to build the machine, Heating elements,Vacuum pumps
Vacuum storage tank etc.. the list is vast. but I have almost completed the mold for the parts. it will be shaped a little different. but yield a little more useable room.
Also, I have been keeping in mind for those NRA members the storage of a shotgun or similar. with my design you could get 2 full sized 1100's in their perhaps even 3 (I only have 2 to test fit). I'll supply Pics. when I get something photographical. right now all the parts i have would prob only make sense to me... once I get close enough I think Ill be able to build units even for the 2000's f250 and heck even the 150's.

One thing I've learned. Even though I have not spend every day working on this.
it sure seems like it and the time flys by.
And my apologies to those of you who cant wait it out. but as promised earlier in one of my post. when I get done "AND I WILL" this box will be unbeatable.
