switching out jumpseat for 2011 console

I recently picked up my truck but could not for the life of me find a longbox with a center console.Mine has the Mocha interior in it. I cannot stand having the jumpseat in these trucks no storage room at all.So i have been on the lookout and found a newer style console to stick in the truck…. I really like the newer consoles with more storage room. I test drove a couple of 11 and 12 trucks and got hooked on them lol

I will also be switching out my mocha or tan carpet for black to go with newer style interiors

I will post up before and after pictures when I get it done in the next few weeks

Is it a pretty straightforward swap- just remove the jump seat and console then throw in the big console?
My armrest is broke so i would like to get the big console to have more storage and to give me a good place to mount my CB.

Blacksoot very easy install you have to take one seat out ….usually the passenger bucket... then the 2 inner bolts of the drivers seat to be able to slide the console mount slightly under the rear seat mount

I am going to be waiting a bit on the black carpet i want.. so i think I will just toss the console in for now

I figure i can have it done in about 1/2 hour without putting the middle mount in since it would have to be mounted over top of the existing floor vents to the rear of the cab

it will still be mounted to the rear and front

not sure if i will attempt to cut into the existing upper vent system to be able to use the console venting or not. I can always do it later when i get the new carpet in since i will have to take the whole interior out to do it

You are going to love it, took me forever to find one for my truck. It is a lot nicer going from a jump seat to new console rather than captains chairs, that is what took the longest for me to mess with

finally got a few pics of the console in

I am guessing the trans hump was changed a little to accommodate the 6 speed trans for the 11 and up trucks since there is a small gap near the front

I am so glad for some storage room now though

anyway heres some pics….. this is with the medium stone interior

Looks awesome! Where did you end up getting the console and how much did it run you?
