Does anyone here know where to tap into the factory dash light circuit for lighting aftermarket gages on a 2008? I keep hitting dead ends on this issue where ever I look.

I put a single gage pod in my F450 and painted it to match and Wow it looks great except for the lighting

The best palce to tap into for your light source is behind the actual switch on the dash that turns your lights on, i believe it is a purple wire just use a test light and probe the conector, if you get the right one it will also work with the dimming feature. As for the best match for gauges i like the isspro gauges i have done 2 sets so far one in my truck and one on my fathers and they are a very close match. As for the backlighting all 2008 superduty's light up the same green as i have a harley davidson my father has a lariat and my uncle has a king ranch. Hope that helps
