Interior Lights

Is there some EASY way to keep the interior cab lights from coming on when I open the doors? My old GMC had a simple switch and I kind of like the option of having them come on or not...Thanks and regards,,,joe

Find the wires in the harnass entering the door for the switch and short them together. Or take the panels and short them at the switch. You could also install a toogle switch after the feed from the fuse panel to the doors.

My truck didn't come with the upfitter switches, but the switch sounds like the best idea. Maybe I'll just buy the upfitter setup, install it like the factory and use one of them to control the lights...Now...A wiring diagram to see if I can find the common wire that controls all the interior lights from all the doors...Thanks ABAHT!...Joe

Now why didn't I think of that? So when I wanted them on again, I would use a flashlight to put them all back in!
