What about removing aftermarket wood trim? Can it be heated up and sofen the glue without tearing the underneath up? I dont mind the wood grain trim, its just to light. The darker wood grains wouldnt look bad.

Is the Sherwood stuff just overlays or complete replacement pieces? Everything I've seen aftermarket are just overlays which don't look very good in my opinion.

it is a complete replacement as far as I know, You can do brushed metal look, carbon fibre etc. Its fairly expensive but looks like an awesome product, I am going to order this kit in a month or so (have to recover from knee surgery first) then Ill know more info.

I was looking at the '09 packages and it looks as though you can get the FX4 with a luxury package that has the dual auto climate control. If that's true, I'm guess us guys with Lariats can replace the wood with the '09 FX4 trim.

So will the FX4 trim work if its an 09 only or will the 08's work too?

It would have to be for an '09 FX4 with the Luxury Package. That would be the only FX4 with the same climate control setup as the Lariat for either year. If you have the manual controls any FX4 trip should work.

What is the difference in the dash pieces though for an 09 FX4 and an 08 Harley? Are they both gloss black or is the FX4 silver? Where the hell could I get a picture at?

i can get your wood grain Lariat changed to the FX4 trim pcs for about $50 a door and roughly $299 for the center pc. The center pc will be what goes on the 09' FX4 for dual climate control. I will have before and after pics up soon.
