I was just about to start a new thread when I saw your post. This is what I did with my DD. For those of you with a little James Bond at heart. I like it it take a $1400 piece of hardware out the eye of potential thiefs. Plus its functional. I know you guys are gonna say then whats the point of trying to use the gauges but I have a 3 pillar pod (Head ups) with all I need...

**I'll get some better pics up soon**

Thanks for the input!!!...Powerstrokefustons - I checked out your post and I really like that! So that is just a zip tie holding the unit/mount in place? Have you had any issues with it shifting or moving around? Think I'm gonna steal your idea from you...any pics from when you installed it?

Craig

No, unfortunately no pics were taken as i installed it in haste. But it is really simple. I have had comments about it being hard to see, but those comments came from people that have theirs mounted to the windshield. I have no problem with a quick glance down to look at temps. Good luck on your installation. Up until now, I have had no issues as far as it shifting or moving. Matt@Spartan saw it and loved it. I have even removed it a few times for updating firmware purposes by removing the thumb screw on the back and it comes right out and right back in fairly easily. When I get home this afternoon, and if I have time, I will remove it, take some pics and let you see how it is mounted.

Nice looking mount there. Did you have to take your dash apart to run the cable through the grommet?

No, Just drilled a hole and fished it up through. Then put the grommet on over the cable and into hole. Nice finished look!
