2011 Front seats into a 08?

I thought I remember seeing a thread on someone doing a front seat conversion on their 6.4 to the new seats out of the 2011's and 12's with the air conditioned option. Does anyone have info on this? I searched forever and couldn't come up with any info.

Thanks.

Or if anyone has any wiring diagrams for the 08's and the 11's seats that would be a huge help as well.

I've done it. It's not too hard. To get the AC/seat heaters to work you need to get the A/C control module out of a 2010+ expedition because it has buttons obviously. The expo control module sends CANBUS signals to the seat control module.

Perfect, thanks. How did you find out which wire went where? Or is it somewhat straight forward when you see the new plugs on the seats and the current ones in my truck.

You'll need to have moderate wiring experience to complete this mod.

I have what you may call basic wiring experience. Installing all my own harnesses, relays, and stereo stuff but not really anything past that. No multi-meter experience etc.

I will just try to stumble through it and figure it out. Any advise you could offer would be a great help though.

Thanks for the info on the Expedition control unit too.

If I get it figured out I will take some pic's and try to make a DIY as best I can thats for sure. I'm sure this question will come up a lot more as more of these AC seats become available in the scrap yards. It's the one of the things that made me really think hard about getting one of the 6.7's when they came out.
