All in fun of course. It is still a bummer.
Ha! Yeah. That's me. This particular instance really isn't bothering me as much as I'm letting on but there is definitely truth to the fact that my name is essentially synonymous with "particular". IE.....anal (freakin') retentive!

vshortt,
I think I have all the same stuff as you (heated seats and mirrors w/ DATC) and I played with it on the way home. I think if you want to change the temp for the entire cab, you hit the Dual button (until the Ext temp shows on the pass side), and then hit the Auto button on the left side by your RED/BLUE buttons. i think that that makes it work the way that you want. Then if you want the pass side at a different temp still in Auto, just hit the dual button again. If you ever want the manual control, hit the OFF under the Auto and you have 2 sides again. Hope that helps.

I don't have a dual button. Hence the reason I started this thread. I really appreciate your looking into it, however.

Turn the system off, then when you turn it back on, the driver's side control works for both sides. If you have a passenger and they hit their side to change temp, then the system reverts to dual.

You're kidding me! My truck is in for service right now but when I get it back I'll sure give it a shot. Thanks for the response. I'm sure there are others in my position that have the same issue.

If it is only showing the temp for the left side, then the dual function is off.

I am glad you got that squared away. That would have been annoying if you had to deal with separate controls for the life of the truck.
