I'm on my way to buy Lexol stock, and then pick up a bottle. LOL I'm gonna throw out my Meguires wipes when I get home.

Also the dealership has leather conditioner you can buy that they strongly tell me to use. Im guessing it has been researched for the specific king ranch leather. My seats look great minus the year it sat in the dealership parking lot. I have only had it 4 months and have applied it 4 times. They are looking really good since I bought it. If anybody has experience with this leather conditioner and thinks otherwise please let me know. One bad post could make me change to Lexol since I have read all the good posts.
My father-in-law had an '05 King Ranch and used the Ford recommended conditioner and I can't say that I think it is as good as Lexol. I have used Lexol in my wife's care, my (retired) F150, and my current truck. The problem that I found with the Ford conditioner is that it felt like it had a silicon base to it. After it was applied, the upholstery didn't have the traditional leather feel to it. As far as I could tell, the Ford stuff never really conditioned the leather. The day after it was applied, the leather was already feeling dry.

All I can say is that I'll be sticking to my Lexol and will be buying my father-in-law a bottle for his '09.

Lexol on the king ranch seats is kinda a tough job if they are really warn. I did it once on a truck that probably had a few years without conditioner. I spent a good hour and a half but the seats became so soft and went back to a brown color over the whitish, warn out color. It was nice. Something you could spend alot of time on.

Has anyone heard of 303 aerospace protectant?? I am using it (ebony leather) and if you go to the detailing forums they seem to swear by it. I will be picking up some lexol, but I am wondering if there is anything "wrong" with the 303...?

Peter.

Not to say the 303 AP is not good for anything. but why would you consider using something other than Lexol when its proven to to be the SOLUTION?
the 303 is more of a protectant. In no way s it good for the leather.
unless your trying to keep your upholstery guy in business. (ruins any real leather)

Stick with the lexol you will be good to go!

Like I said, I will be buying lexol, I was just wondering if any real "harm" may have been done, I am guessing none. Will use of this conditioner actually prevent the lines and cracking (like on the outboard side of the drivers seat, where you bend it getting in and out)? I am already noticing some lines there and the truck is 2 months old!! Thanks fo rthe great info.

Actually did my leather yesterday with some mequires cleaner/conditioner and was far from impressed. So I loaded up and ran down to autozone and picked up a bottle of Lexol and will use it from now on. Today the seats felt better than when they were new and smelled good too.
