Interior Modifications / Problems
New member here and I have a few questions..
About a month ago I bought a 2009 F-250 with 36k miles. I have already added 3k to it! I am now starting the process of modifying stuff. Last weekend the Particulate Filter fell off the truck and this weekend coming I am looking to do some wiring and mounting of some electronics. Has anyone found a good way to mount a Spartan tuner that isn't in the way of your feet or attached to the windshield? I am also looking at adding a AC power inverter for the interior of the cab to run some stuff (laptop, battery chargers, etc.). I was thinking about purchasing the upfitter switches, that way the inverter is always on a switch and I will have extras for stuff like adding fog lights. Is this a good way to go? Last of all I have this crazy annoying rattle on the passenger side. It is usually only at idle and if I push on the left hand corner of the glove box it goes away. Anyone else ever deal with this? |

Looks good. Is that something you bought or made? I am already getting sick of the suction cup but I have mine basically in the same spot off the window.

You can mount the Spartans above the rear view mirror as well. You just need an OBD II extension cord and you could make your own mount. Thats where I mount my H&S and it's great.

I had that same rattle coming from the glove box area. I used a strip of 1/8 inch foam tape along the lips of the glove box and that solved it on mine. It's the same stuff as weather stripping for the doors/windows of your house.

Yea, That's probably what I will do then. I pushed lightly on the upper left corner of the box while it was rattling the other day and it went away. So that is probably the perfect fix.
