Speaker stopped working

Buddy of mine was listning to his radio in his driveway and went to back out, when he put it in reverse the speakers made a poping noise and now they dont work. He says he cant find a blown fuse and the cd player still works. Any ideas??? Bad CD player or do these trucks have an external amp that runs the speakers? Thanks in advance.

Is he playing a cd or the radio or an Ipod? Just asking because when I have my phone hooked up in my truck sometimes the aux wire from the phone to the radio has a bad connection or something and will pop and stop playing until I mess with the wire. Not sure if it this is related, maybe it will help.

If he has the premium sound with a sub then there is an external amp for the sub. The rest of the speakers run off the deck though. I dont remember if my stock sub amp had a fuse on it or not, I bet it did but I dont remember.
