A few Mods that I have done.

All, Im new to the group. I have mainly been trolling along over at thedieselstop, and the dieselgarage. Grazing over your forum and it looks to be pretty active on the 6.4L side of things.

Anyhow, I wanted to post a few picts of a few mods that i have made along the way.

First up, I added LED lights to the fender vents on the side of the truck, Im sure some of you have done this but, I absolutely love the look of a engine on fire... Tied the power line into the parking light wire on the headlight.

Next up is the door handles. I got tired of getting shocked when getting in and out of the truck so I painted the chrome pieces black. They seem to have held up nicely as i did this mod about 1 1/2 years ago and just took the picture last night.

Next, I added the non slip that you add to cabinet drawers to the pockets on the doors. Adds nice color and then keeps things from sliding around..

The last picture is obviously where i mounted my tweeters on the drivers and passenger door. I would have rather mounted them some place higher and farther forward but that was going to require more effort than i was willing to do. They sound good to me in this location.

Picture of location I mounted my rear tweeters. I wanted them to be on the doors but that was not going to be easy either. So i put them behind the seat belt as to not have the music right in the ears of passengers.

I know this is not on the interior but its a quick mod as well. Drilling a hole in the screw pocket on the windshield valences. These screws rust because of standing water. Easy fix.

Place i mounted my holster for my gun, Keeps it nice and secure and in quick reach.

Place i mounted my idiot light for the air dog. There was nothing behind that area of the dash and it was hidden from drivers view by the steering wheel. I didn't want to have to look at the poor design but wanted it to be able to be seen if the light comes on.

Picture of the antenna for my cell phone booster. I mounted the external antenna here, the amplifier behind the 60% rear seat, and the internal antenna underneath the center console. I have it powered on with the upfitter switches that are wired hot all the time. This same switch also powers the bluetooth that i added to the truck to make it easier to link my phone to the stereo. I absolutely love both mods.

Picture of the switch that i installed in my toolbox that controls the light in the second picture. Its a 4' LED light that really lights up the box and the bed.

Say what you want about transformers but this emblem looks way better than the ridiculous Delta Champion logo.

Pictures of the snow man mod. i think that is what it is called. Anyhow, I cut up a couple of coozies and filled these areas to dampen sound.

Lastly, a picture of the truck,

If anyone has any questions as to exactly how i did things, i would be happy to help.

Good looking truck man. I have thought about the vent lights but was hesitant because of light laws. Do you have any pics zoomed way farther out?

Yeah, i can get a farther away shot. The lights are really subtle because of the way the vents open. I love the fact they come on with the parking lights so they light up when the truck is unlocked. I was afraid that it would look a little cheap or silly but the glow is nice and not bright.

Ill see if i can get one tonight.

Thanks guys,

Truck looks good man. Welcome to the forum. You will get better signal with the cell phone booster if you place it on your roof. The roof creates a bigger and better grounding plain for the signal. Closer to center of the roof the better.
