6 Disc Changer wont play CD's

Anyone had any problems with their CD Players wigging out? My 08 just wigged out today. Went to play a CD and it said bad CD. Tried switching to another CD and said the same thing. Wont even eject the CD's out just says bad CD and swtiches back to radio station. Have read where our trucks dont like to play CD-R's. I have on loaded in mine right not and have not had a problem for 2 years. Is there any type of reset or is this thing toast?

Thanks

I had the same issue with the cd changer in my '08. I gave up an decided to buy an aftermarket for $250 rather than a new oem for $600. Haven't had to worry about it since.

I took mine out and took it apart and banged it on stuff and shoved screw drivers in it and viola, it works again. The only reason I did this is I had nothing to loose.

I used to push a bank card in there and it would push in the messed up disk. It would then be fine for a while. Dont let go of the card.
