Probably a lot cheaper to have a sunroof installed

Correct me if I'm wrong but sunroofs create more headroom. I say this because I don't have one (I have the overhead center console) and when I got in my buddy's kr with a sunroof, it was noticeably bigger/more headroom in the cab due to the depression from the sunroof. Am I wrong?

well im only 4'9" so head room is not the issue... i would like taller seats

seriously though, im not a big fan of sunroofs either,, i have one but dont like it open cause its too noisy, and i dont like the sun coming in and illuminating the cab ,so its easier to see me...i will crack the back of it up so it sticks up at an angel then close up the inside cover, just cause i think it looks cool.....

Less headroom due to the whole assembly sitting on the bottom of the cab roof. It definitely feels bigger when it's open though.

I'm 6-8 and don't have a problem with it so it's not like it takes up to much room in my truck.

I have a sunroof and almost always never use it. Too much noise as pointed out above. However, I really enjoy the rear sliding window a lot. Seems to circulate air really well and has minimal noise. At least, for me driving... Not sure what the noise level's like sitting in the back though.

That new style console that's in the 2011+ models consists of about 50 part numbers, all sold separately and is about $3000 to completely do this swap. There's a couple threads in here about it. Everything from all the part numbers required to people actually doing the swap.
