Door ajar warning

I keep having the rear left door ajar warning keep coming on. I have tried to spray brake cleaner, wd-40 with no relief. It will go off for a period of time and then comes back on. Yes door is closed for all you brain surgeons out there. Any ideas

Since I'm not a brain surgeon, I'll ask you - Is it under warranty so you could take it in to get it fixed?

seems i had this prob a while back on my 2001. i think it is the same. when you look at the mech. on the door itself, there is a little wheel. that is what you want to spray. wd40 is not the best and you may have to spray a lot before it gets fixed.
