Center armrest broke?

Hey guys, have a XLT with the big center flip down armrest. Well it seems i leaned too hard on the drivers side and now, when i lean on it a little, it goes down, as opposed to being stable and not moving on the passenger side of the armrest.Anyone know how i can remedy this?

just had mine replaced under warranty. They said it was impossible to fix it, no access to tighten it up. I've got leather and they said it was $550.

Nah, I'm 200 and lean on mine pretty hard most times. I have heard that this is a common problem. Maybe keep an eye out in the wrecking yards. I do know that they are pretty proud of the 08+ "console" style, but would think you can find the armrest for a decent price.

Damn you are hard on arm rests. Thats alot of console's. Maybe put the console up while your trying to get close to your old lady?
