Dash lights too dim, how to bypass dimmer?

Hey, so in my work rig ('08 550), the dash lights are super dim when the headlights are on, and I can't read the stereo or digital display or anything. The dimmer does more or less work, it will make it more dim, but even at the brightest, it isn't bright enough during the daytime. It's way more dim than any other 6.4 era pickup I've driven. It would be nice to be able to know when it's in regen since it's a fire rig that gets driven off road a fair amount, and I'd at least like to have some sort of awareness as to when the exhaust is gonna be red hot.

The question is: can I fix this problem somehow? It's a PITA in a work rig in which I am required to have my lights on in.
