2008 Door Rattle
Greetings everyone,
I am a new member and currently own a 2008 f-250 lariat diesel. I have 49,437 miles. I have isolated a rattle in the drivers side door panel, it sounds as if the window track is loose, my question is I have located the screws on the bottom of the door panel, however I have noticed that every screw in each door panel just rotates when i place a socket on it to tighten or loosen. I find that a little odd. Is this normal? how does one tighten or loosen these bolts. this is the first rattle I have developed in this amazing truck. thanks for any help or suggestions. |

Try pulling on the panel near the screw you are trying to loosen and see if it will bite.

Thanks for the tip, i will try that this morning, is it common that all the door screws turn and not tighten? I would think its not, but you never know.

I can't remember if I have taken the door panel off of my '08 but it seems like I have but on my '99 I know I took it off and it came off fine.

Got a rattle in my door as well..the plastic door panel is slapping ever so slightly against the metal door..I can tell because its wearing the paint off. really pissing me off. one of my screws does the same thing you describe because the window tint guy stripped it..gotta run a bigger self tapper into that hole or something.
