center console, bench seat

i have the 40/20/40 bench seat. i bought the truck used and the center console part that flips up was busted so it wobbled a lot. i had it replaced just before the 3/36 warranty was up. well the problem is starting to come back and i wasn't sure if anyone else had this problem. if the seat back is down so you can lean on it, the drivers side by the cup holder pushes down which makes the passenger rear section of the console go up. it seems like the bolted side is coming loose. how do i get to the hinged section to tighten it back up or replace the bolts? sorry if this doesn't make sense. i don't really know how to explain it other then show it, which i can't do.

thanks,
mike

Similar problem here. If I put any weight on the front driver's edge it twists, distorts and squeaks. Drives me nuts. I want to take it apart and stiffen it up. I'll be watching this one.

Anytime you reposition yourself in the truck, you put pressure on the front corner. Causes them to twist and bend, then loosen up. Post up a pic. They can be tightened up.

i swapped my console for a center seat from a member, when i got it, i noticed that it was lose and tilted back and forth, drove me crazy... took it in to see if it could be fixed, they couldn't and ordered me a new one, installed under warranty...i would do that so Ford knows they need to beef that up in the future if they don't want to pay for them twice..
