CUP HOLDER REMOVAL
HOW do you get the cup holders on the lower dash to come off? i got the 2 little bolts off butit doesn't move, i hate to break the dang thing or damage my dash just to get it off. Are there some tabs or something holding it in place I know theres 2 on the sides but it seems there is still somethng holding it in place. I broke 1 of the little arms that hold the cup in place and i'm almost sure you gotta replace the hold dang thing. ??????

Cup Holder fix
So how did you fix it? I haven't really looked it over, besides taking 2 screws out. If i have to take the whole dash out, I'm not, Did you just fix the holders them selfs or replce te whole assebly??

I coudl be wrong but I think you can simply pop out the upfitter switches, (mine has the coin holder there and no upfitters,) and the brake controller and there are two more screws that hold on the lower cup holder. they are kinda hard to get to adn you'll need a swivel on your 1/4" ratchet with an extension. Someone correct me if I'm woring but It hink if you take out those two screws out you can take out the entire cup holder and bracket.
you could simply pull out the pin that hold the cup holder to the bracket. it's like a piano hinge with a long metal pin , (kinda like a hinge on a door in your house.) pull out that pin and the cup holder can be removed from the bracket holding it to the dash. that's if you don't wanna bother taking the dash apart. |

YES, I've noticed the hinge. might go that route after i try once more to remove the entire assembly. Thanls
