driver's seat upholstery in need of repair
the previous owner was a fat $#@&%!* and the base of my driver's seat has 2 rips in it. it has a black cloth/fabric interior. is it possible to a new "skin" just for the seat base or do i need to take the truck to an upholstery shop and have it fixed that way? the rest of the seats are in very good shape. any ideas?

just an update on what i've found so far.....
i could not find anyplace that sells the seat material, other than the leather. so i called ford and WOW are they proud of their stuff! he couldn't give me an exact dollar amount because i didn't have my vin handy. but he said they usually run between $200-$300 each. i called the upholstery shop that the ford dealer uses and she told me, without seeing of course that it should be roughly $185. so i'll be taking the truck by there today or tomorrow to get an actual quote and most likely go that route. |
