Removing front overhead console

I have a crew cab 2008. Anybody know how to remove the front overhead console? Want to remove to add a dvd player in it. Just dont want to yank it if it is screwed in some way I'm not seeing. Any help is appreciated.

It is only held together by retainer clips. It is really 2 pieces. The overhead console and then a black plastic mounting unit. Once you get the overhead off, I can't remember if the black mounting unit has screws. I do know that the black mounting bracket has wings on the side that takes some maneuvering to get out. You can see the the black mounting bracket because it is the inside of the storage part of the overhead console.
