Got a few questions...
i have a 2010 f350 XLT and want to spice up the interior a bit, first off can i take apart my seats and put in heating elements? i have all power leather seats just no heat
im assuming that the seats are set up for heat just no element. Also, does anyone know if 2011 gauge clusters will fit in 2010's or is the whole dash different? and last but not least, should i got with a factory ford nav or aftermarket? they both seem to be about $1000

There are some other threads on adding heated seats, not sure what the outcome was.
The cluster will fit but many of the features of the cluster won't work IIRC. I have the factory NAV and am very happy with it so that would be up to you, just depends on what you want. |

2011 cluster will not work at all. Totally different ECM

I actually just added heated seats to my mine. It wasn't hard, but the covers are held on by hog rings, so you have to have the rings and pliers to put them back together. I took some pics but I havn't had a chance to post anything about my install. I'll try to get it up this weekend once I can get something put together.
As far as the aftermarket navigation - I've looked into this myself and I'm not sure how everything works with the Sync system. There is an adapter you can buy to make it all work, but it has an external LCD screen you have to install. Maybe someone else can help out with that area. |
