2010 NAV/DVD UNIT
Has anyone heard of a way to bypass the safety feature that requires you to be in park with the break set?

Talk to this guy medplus, he thinks he knows everything. He will tell you what you need to buy, BUT when you read the info it is for the incorrect vehicle, nothing listed that he says it will do while I have read about others that have DVD IN MOTION unlock listed in the details. So up to you...
Check out ebay after you talk to him, there are units that are much cheaper that will do the same thing if you just want dvd in motion. I am going to do the dvd in motion and HD radio so I am getting this plus the other piece required Ford F-250 2010 10 HD RADIO PXAMG+HDRT+ANT ADAPTER KIT: eBay Motors (item 360289462091 end time Oct-10-10 11:43:03 PDT) The above listed is for HD radio but that same guy has the adapter for DVD in motion. |

I think the lock pick is the way to go. I researched it a while back and talked a car stereo guy and he said work. About 400.00 installed. It opens everything up that usually requires you to be in park to use.

I've personally installed MANY of the units that Harley350 posted above, both for GM and Ford. I will honestly say, they are amazing. PM me if you would like more info.

OK, I guess I have to chime in on this because according to DSL, I know everything. Anyone can call me directly on my cell (661) 803-5684 - Bruce. Let me start by stating I don't care if you buy from me or not. You can actually find them cheaper on Ebay. I just sell these units locally and install them. I will provide you with the PAC part number and you can buy anywhere because I don't make any $$ on these units, I'm trying to help members out.
You will deactivate your navigation lock, DVD video in motion unlock (watch movies while driving), rear camera unlock (watch while moving) and any controls while in motion. I have this in my 2009 F350. I really don't care if you buy it or not. I know it works. So you can waste your time or money with $400 units or HD receivers that require more parts or for about $230 bucks and about 30 minutes of your time to install it, you can have all of the options listed above. It's your choice. I will be more than happy to video tape a movie or all of the options while in motion. As for the part number/vehicle listed, it's a ford and it uses the same sync as the F250/350. If I was not confident in the unit, I would not list my phone number. I have installed over 20 of these units in F250/F350's, so you can take my word. I spend 30 minutes from start to finish installing these units. You can see I in the photo that I'm driving 70 MPH and a movie playing...proof is in the pudding. Sometimes people on this website try to over complicate things that are really easy. Last edited by medplus; 10-19-2010 at 07:26 PM. |

I WILL VOUCH FOR HIM AND SAY THAT HE IS NOT MAKING MONEY ON THIS UNIT HE OFFERS. HE'S ALMOST DEAD ON WITH THE ACTUAL COST OF THE PIECE FROM PAC. I JUST CHECKED MYSELF. |
