Touchscreen/Nav
My 08 I just bought didn't come with nav system so I'm going to buy a touchscreen with nav or just a touchscreen and a garmin. What do you guys recommend...what brand touchscreen to go with.

Id say go with a kenwood. They seem to be making a damn good product, and garmin is who they use for there nav, and they use parrot for there hands free cell phone kit which comes with just about all of there nav units.

My 7" panasonic has been a rockstar for about 2 years now... no nav and its kind of out dated but just thought i would throw in my .02

I really like Pioneer, but I'll check out Kenwood. IF GPS comes with the touchscreen nav head unit, is it free subscription?

PIONEER, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

I like the sound of Kenwood having Garmin as their nav...how is pioneers nav? ease of use, how reliable? I think the pioneers aesthetics are a little better than kenwood.

I would stray away from the newer pioneer stuff. My local car audio guy said that there quality is going down hill and that his shop is not going to be carrying there stuff anymore. Historically they have made good quality units, but recently the quality has been fading off. As for the kenwood and a nav subscription. It is free to use.

I personally have a Kenwood nav unit in my 08 F350 dually. Works perfect. Bluetooth is awesome too. Person you're talking to can't even hear the noise of the diesel in the background. lol
Also, no map discs to insert, all hard drive based. |
