Pilar Mount Gauge Question

I looked for other threads on this but didn't see any.

I have decided to remove my Spartan as I have had it in and out several times with truck issues and frankly it doesn't seem worth it.

I still want to be able to monitor Trans Temp, EGT and Boost. I really like the idea of having a pilar gauge pod but don't know how to get all the signals, read I'm and electronics / engine idiot.

is there a way to pickup the EGTA, Boost and Trans Temp somehow without tapping all those or what is the best way to proceed.

Check out an Edge Insight, It monitor everything your looking for and more. It plugs into your OBD port, does not require drilling and tapping or running all those wires through your firewall.

I too am looking to get this info. I want to add a nice set of mechanical gauges.

Johny9r, why do you want another trans temp gauge? Is the OEM one not sufficient?

If mechanical is what you want then you will definitely have to do some drilling and tapping. There is a couple of guys here who have done it but I think most have gone back to the Spartan DD due to the numerous parameters being able to monitor. I know Jeff with Spartan had them at one time but went back to the DD and another member 02ShootTheJ runs them I believe.

i would have to agree that the edge insight would probably be the best way to go. i'm not really a fan of the edge products myself, but i've seen some of these and they are really nice. but if you do want to stick to the traditional gauges, i dont know if there is anyway of getting around the drilling and tapping.
