I did it on my '08, and it worked fine.
I followed the procedure in the manual.

The seat belt reminder is disabled with the procedure in the manual BUT it's not a complete shut off. It will remind you once on start up and the dash light stays on for a minute or so and then goes off and the ding is not repeated.

Yea i know it will stay on but i cant get it to stop dinging, it will not go through the procedure. It says to set parking brake, turn off lights and turn key to on and wait for light to go off, then it says to buckle and unbuckle 9 times and then it will come back on and you are supposed to buckle then unbuckle 1 more time. I have disabled hurnderds of Ford dodge and chevys and for some reason this one just wont disable

I went through the same issue. I was going the buckle and unbuckle procedure too quickly. Slow and steady, the time allowed is plenty if you are consistent.

I though they missed the part where you have to stand on your head while doing the parking brake part. ![]() ![]() But glad you got it solved. |
