Thumping noise under dash

Does anyone get a thumping noise under the dash from time to time? It seems like I get it alot somedays then others I don't get it very much. Is it opening and closing a vent or what?

its your blower door actuator to your dual zone A/C. You have dual zone temp controls correct?

mine did it for the longest time now it will not come off of dual ac. If I have the ac on then the passenger side goes hot unless I reach over to the next control and turn it all the way down to 60. It still thumps every now and again. Just now tho it wont keep both sides the same temp unless it freezing cold or burning hot. Got to love ford :-)

mine was thumping also, then my dual temp control stopped working properly, i took it in last week and they replaced 2 small motors that control hot and cold vents up in the dash...... all good now... no thumping and temp control is back to normal.
