anyone have this combo?

hey guys Im getting ready to put an 08 center console in my truck but I had some ?'s....in the near future Im going to be doing a zf6 swap from auto to the manual 6 speed, and was wondering. if I put the console in will I have any clearance issues? please let me know before I make a WHOLE complete decision on the swap, I really like the 08 consoles and can just replace my auto tranny later on with a BTS if it's too much of a hassle.

I think your shifter is going to hit the console. I made 2 plates that mount to the mounting bars that let me slide in back an inch or two so I could squeeze in a cb. You can slide the console back more but you will have to trim the bottom front storage area. I hear the you can install the mounting bars in backwards also (might work).

I really don't want to have to modify anything really when it comes to using the console since it's also my arm rest, and I have the 40/20/40 in the rear of my truck now instead of the front( I have a 40/console/40 now going in the front. so leg room in the rear is still a must....my dog lays back there all the time too....she's 115 lb rot and needs all the room she can get lol.

If your going to do a full trans swap and wanted to have the console you could just remove the shifter and heat it up and bend it forward about two inchs to clear the console. I love having the console and would just figure out a way to make it work. its alot better then the fold up bench seat.

It was just a idea....... BUT you could go "testdrive a new automatic truck with the console and take a measurment from the dash to console and then take the same measurment from the dash to shifter on standard model. I think that would be a easy way to figure it out and you could get to drive a new truck for a few miles.

<<<deployed that's impossible....I do get to drive an 08 all the time here though, it has the center seat though, no console.....if someone were to find one though and take some measurements though that'd be great....would prefer the measurements on the 6 speed.

I will email my buddy that works at the dealer and see if he could measure for me. Its the least I could do for someone who is fighting for our country.....

i could take some measurements of mine since its a truck like yours just so you get a ballpark on where it will be. I know i dont have a manual but its a start.
