Outside temperature gauge

Anybody else not have one? I have a loaded truck except for the dual climate controls, so I do not have an outside temp gauge. For those without a factory unit...Have you installed anything aftermarket?

Lick your finger and stick it out the window, Oh wait that's wind.

Yeah its dumb that you can buy a 50k truck that has powerfold mirrors but not a temp sensor. I bought this one somewhere on the net and put it in my old 08 f350. Its basically the one out of a chevy but its got direction and temp and the auto dim feature. The thing I really like on it is the light. its got two led lights on the bottom that light up and it does not light up the whole truck like the interior light does. it was really easy to install too

My 2009 displays the Exterior temperature on the Heater/AC display. I am pretty sure there is a button that toggles between interior and exterior temperature readings.

The '08 FX4s didn't have the auto-A/C so there's no display there.

Yeah its pretty much a chevy mirror. Hook up is easy, I just hooked it up to a keyed ignition wire and then the temp sensor I ran through the fire wall and down along the frame rail and mounted it in the crack between the cab and bed. Here is a link to one just like it.

The Ext button is going to be hard to find if your climate control looks like this:
