I had amber lights under the dash of my 97 and I loved it, need to do something to my 6.0 and Im like this idea, Its odd to drive at night with no floor lights after having them for so long.

I forgot about that.... However, I have dark tint on my glass so I roll my windows down when backing at night, so I don;t pay attention to it.

And, HVAC, I have never tried wiring one to a dimmer switch or one of the dimmable circuits already in the dash. I don;t know if that will work or not.... worth a try though!

You must be registered in WV to get away with the dark tint. VA authorities that I have run across seem to be in immediate need of an anal sphincterotomy over tint. I once was cited for 3% over on front window tint.

Here are some good led strips you can get in alot of colors that would work perfect for doing this:

eBay Store – All City: Search results for flexible strip.

Yes recon, blue l.e.d., they are black. I have pics posted on a for sale thread. I'm trying to get $100 out of them, shipping not included.

My buddy and I are running 5% window tint. When you are pulled over and the cop meters it, it shows as 2%.... My buddy has been stopped in Bluefield VA three times, ticketed every time ($50 a hit) I have not been stopped for it at all. In Roanoke, I was stopped one time for a tail light, and the cop never said anything about my tint. I'll take my chances, but the first time I get pulled for it, I will offer to peel the tint on the spot to avoid the ticket....

I love my lights.... lol
