I had a green OBS F-150 that I did purple under the dash in the front and under the rear of the front seats in the back so it would shine out onto the floor. The purple looked good with the green. I also did the "chicken lights" in the upper corners of the windshield shining out the front. I liked it. Interestingly I later saw other purple colored lights that were being sold at a truck stop for that location and they were sold as anti-glare lights.

Then I did amber in my black '02 F-150 and munted them under the the front on the seats and also behid the grille out of direct sight for an ambient glow in the front. Sorry I don't have pictures of either set-up. Wish I did though.

I may try the blue LED's in this truck. Would look good with the grey interior.

Cool

The drivers side light looks dimmer in the pictures, it is just as bright it is the angle of the shot as the drivers side light strip is a lil further up under the dash than the passenger side.

View from the back seat.

View While Driving. (SIRIUS RULES)

View Of Passenger Side From Drivers Seat.

View Of Driver's Floor From Drivers Seat.

Hope these help or at least inspire. Gonna do the back floor soon....

I used beehive lights that are available at truck stops such as Pilot. I got the ones with a purple lens and mounted them in the upper 2 corners of my windshield facing the front of the vehicle so they were visible from outside the cab. They were bright enough that it illuminated the inside of the cab enough that you could see a little but they were not bothersome when driving. If you watch 18-wheelers some of them have them in their windshields. Sorry I dont have any pics.

Advance Auto or AutoZone carry some. I bought the ones in my truck from walmarx (gift cards) the ones there were I think 14.99 for two and they are like 20 or 25 for two strips at the parts places. I have used both and one is no better than the other. You can get on ebay too.

The lights have two leads coming off them 12v+ and a ground. I tied both ground wires together and ran a lead to a ground bolt already under the dash from the factory. and the positive lead was extended and I ran that up to the back side of my light switch and found a lead that comes on with the park lights and stays on with all lights (fogs, high and low) and connected it with a wire tap connector! simple! good luck

I just found a whole bunch of LED light strips on eBay for $3-4 each. I would wire them to your parking lights so they come on any time the parking lights are on. You could put a switch inline in case you didn't want them on for some reason. The easiest way would probably be with a fuse tap to the parking light fuse.
