You have to pop out the black piece that holds the Aux In and the one on the other side and there are two bolts that have to be removed. Once you do that it just pops off. Then you have to pop out the vents and remove the upfitters and dual climate control (if equipped).

My fender vents and woodgrain pieces are getting painted tomorrow. I talked with the painter and because the side columns have a textured paint it would be some work to get them smooth enough to look like the HD ones so I'm just going to keep those silver for now and maybe buy the HD ones down the road.

Yeah that sounds right! Its been awhile since I had mine off!

Post some pics when you get it all paited I bet its gona look sweet.

Thanks guys. Eric, not quite sure yet...going to pay for it all together once the grille is painted. I will let you know once I pay for it all...probably not going to be more than $75 though.

Well I'll keep checking this thread. Because I definitely am interested in doing the same. I like the woodgrain just not in a glossy look. Doesn't give the truck that tough look lol
