FWIW, I had my DPF checked because of soot in the pipes and the dealer said it was normal and no cracks found. I didn't believe them and went to another dealer, same answer.

My truck is bone stock, regens every 400 miles and gets 16.4 mpg.

My truck is the same way 4800 miles and the tail pipes are black. Everything seems fine and its all stock, somtimes when I punch it I'll see some smoke roll out just a little but you can see it.

Wow, if you only regen every 400 miles and get 16.4 mpg I wouldn't touch anything. Mine regens every 80 miles and I get 12.5-13 mpg. That's why I ordered my Spartan...

I don't plan on doing anything to it. I want to keep my warranty and they say the DPF is fine so why fix it if it's not broken?

I was saying the same thing, but im ready to make the change im sick of the *h*ty 12.5-13.5 that i get out of this so called enviroment freindly truck. i have heard on hear some were get rid of the DPF and you will have less problems later. So im saving my pennies for the delete and tunner.
