P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected

Anybody have experience with this code? I've thrown it 4 times in the past couple of days and a few times last summer. It also throws a P1000, but that would be expected due to a failure on emissions testing.

So, I'm thinking that maybe soot has clogged the return to the air intake? Anybody have some input?

I think i might have logged that code once but it hasnt been back since. The p1000 is from the spartan.

The P1000 I'm not worried about; you'll throw that code if any emissions relate d codes are tripped.

ya i dont know i think its a soft code anyway so i dont know if i would worry about it. Have you got the code with a stock tune?

I started getting this code when I deleted my EGR cooler......SCT fixed it though....also its on a 6.0 not a 6.4.

I get it EVERY day now. I remember reading somewhere that Spartan can change something in your tune to correct this, but I think it requires waiting for a new tune. I THINK. Mine doesnt seem to affect drivability at all, but I too am curious what is causing this?

must be tune related in some way
