My engine light keeps coming on!!
Hey all I drive a 08 F250 6.4 it has an aFe stage two and MBRP DPF back pipe which have been installed for about 1200 miles, and Ive been having a few problems. The truck will go into re-gen mode and wont go out! and this is also accompanied by an engine light and the code for it is P2452. I took it into the dealer (thank fully my dealer is totally cool with aftermarket stuff including programmers) to have it fixed and they re-performed one of the PCM reflashes and cleaned the DPF.....and the truck was fine..for awhile, intill less then a 100 miles later it went into this continuous cleaning thing again! Also the same code came back up (P2452) which is according to my code reader is "particulate matter trap diff sensor" Im pretty pissed I dont want to have to take it back to the dealer and Im about ready to drop the dough for the DPF-r delete kit....any ideas as to what is causing this??...suggestions??

My truck did the same thing and it was because of my intake. Try taking it off and see if the light goes off. Good Luck

I have heard of problems with AFE CAI. I just have the drop in AFE, and no codes or problems. A lot of guys have a lot of luck with the S&B CAI. Good luck
May I add that you should 86 the DOC/DPF and get yourself some Spartan tuning |

The only code the AFE should throw is a P2002....

I talked to the guys at AFE and they told me that if I had the 8-B-07 recall/recalibration done to my truck that I would be able to put my intake back on (because taking it off is what fixed the problem) problem is the only thing the dealer will tell is that the most recent recalibration done to my truck is 08-25-08... I miss my intake but it starting to look like im not gonna be able to put it back on...any other sugesstions??
...oh yeah I also found out the truck through the code P2563 or "turbo boost sensor circuit A" if that helps.. |

The truck is monitoring air flow. It is important that the intake system remains marginally equal in respect to sensor readings. If the latest programming works then that's fine. There is a recall and there is no charge for reprogramming it under this recall.
If this is BS and it does not work then there is a tuner available to replace the stock programming and you can use the intake you want to use. Until then you will likely have to live without it. |

Haven't really figured anything out but for now im just gonna use my bully dog PMT to reset it whenever it comes up..

The Ford dealer should update your truck to the 08B07 calibration if you ask them to do it. It's a free update. 08B07 came out in the latter (like december) part of 2008, so if your truck was last updated on 8-25-08, then it probably doesn't have it.
If you message me your vin, I can check for you. |
