Exclamation Need help, new to 6.4's

i just bought a 09 f250 6.4 with 110,000 miles and 4200 engine hours last wednesday.

just today i noticed that at an idle, every once and while, it seems to misfire. like how you have a fouled plug on a gasoline engine. no driveability issues, no ck engine light, no other problems. i called my ford certified diesel guy, he said "its nothing to lose sleep over. it happens every once and awhile and it could just be since you reflashed the PCM with the tune the driver on the injector is re-learning" does that sound like a possibility to you guys?

Could you post up a video of it? May be nothing but a video might help.

it hasent happened since yesterday afternoon so im guessing it was just a fluke, haha you couldnt tell via video anyhow, i felt it in the seat and very slightly on the tach when it would happen.however, after driving to work this morning ive noticed the truck to surge while under a light load, around 2,000-2,500 rpm's. im running rudy's diesels tunes on the truck now but just recieved IDP xtreme street tune for my truck. going to load it up when i get home and see if the surging goes away. i did some reading up this morning on that condition and most say its due to an issue with the tune that causes the surging problem.

I would imagine then if it was barely noticeable then it must be fine. About the surging I would agree that maybe reloading the tune might fix that. If not try and reload another tune and see if that helps. Sometimes certain tunes cause weird little issues

Shouldn't happen at all. Most likely am injector dropping out when the AC compressor cycles on.

Have somebody watch the power balance for you in order to figure out what injector it is

well i figured out the surging issue, and the slight miss was due to the tunes that were preloaded on the livewire TS from rudys diesel. i ordered a tune from eric yesterday and installed it on my truck. and the issues are now non existiant. as for the injector possibility i will have a power balance test done a.s.a.p. just to be sure that all my injectors are in good shape
