connecting rod

has anyone ever just change a rod after it bent. A customer brought a 6.4 with a blown injector and hydro-locked the cylinder and bent the connecting rod.

I have on my 7.3, but what caused it? Any damage other than that? The rotating assembly should be balanced after. I would weigh the old rod and the new rod and if its the same you should be alright. Are you sure its bent? I assume you have it apart.
