Puffing Sound from intake

Noticed a Puffing sound coming from the engine, mainly from the intake, im thinking its the Rockers since ive heard they go bad after a while on the 6.4L, any ideas or experience with it? i might Replace them or if someone has upgraded them and has any info on it then that would surely help.

I replaced all of mine when I did my head studs and my thump from the intake is totally gone. I had 198k on mine (170k was with dpf) and every single one of the tips of my rockers was worn down to almost nothing. If you go on eBay there is a place called oem select parts. Its a ford dealer in PA but they were 300$ cheaper than my local dealer for the complete rocker arm assemblies

Replace all the bridges ( add 80$). You need to replace the high pressure transfer tubes to each injector but I did mine with the injectors still in

Yea I thought that chugging noise was normal till I saw the YouTube video on the popping out the intake and it was my exact same noise. Like I said, every single rocker arm was bad on mine. Even had one of the plastic clips fall off

Do those platic clips scare you as much as i scares me? im sure there could really be a mess if one were to lose both sides, also do you know if there are upgrades?

Mine had 198k on it when I did mine. Only one of the clips had fallen off but the rocker stayed on...barely. i believe ford revised them. They went from white to black. If you order both complete sets from oem select parts they come with the plastic retainers. Yes they scare the crap out of me but I couldn't find any upgrades.
