Got truck back from dealer, now have rough idle

So I took my truck. into the dealer to have my over heating issues checked on, and 1100 dollars later I get my truck Back. Well they did complete coolant flush, new stats and new water pump. Well they broke the two vacuum lines that go to the sensor on the radiator shroud. And the sensor behind where the egr bracket is (egr is removed) I believe to be in the bottom of fuel bowl. Well I stuck the prongs back into the sensor to keep from typing codes till I can get a new one, so far it's working. but are those vacuum lines important? What are they for? Could they be what's causing the rough idle?
