STRANGE TURBO NOISE
OK
I was out doing some datalogging for Scott@ Spartan and did a few power brakes it was spun up pretty good and I lifted out of the pedal quick then heard a hissing sound come from the turbo area, now it does it all the time even if it's just doing 50 down a road and then shutting down the pedal it's not vgt flutter it sounds like one of those wrx's with the waste gate turned way up. I'm going to look at the cac lines and the intercooler but it never did this before. Darrell

I had a loud hiss or blowing sound that was a intercooler connection boot that was blownout. It had a hole that my finger could fit into. Step into throttle, boost pressure goes up and sound level increases. Now I have a flutter sound that seems to be on the increase. The turbo was rebuilt by a shop about 2 months ago.
